We are seeking an experienced Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to join our team in Fortitude Valley on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This part-time role requires a commitment of four days per week, with flexibility necessary to meet operational demands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate Family Dispute Resolution sessions, encompassing parenting and property matters, delivered via joint, shuttle, telephone, and other formats.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, referrals, or deliver child-inclusive family dispute resolution as required.
  • Provide case management, information, and referrals to families navigating the family dispute resolution process, including issuing s60(I) certificates.
  • Organise psycho-educational or information group sessions to support clients.
  • Evaluate client suitability for family dispute resolution and complete necessary intake procedures.
Essential Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from a recognised institution.
  • Certification as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with the Attorney General's Department.
  • Knowledge of the Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners Regulations within the Family Law Act.
  • Understanding of Domestic and Family Violence Act, Child Protection Act, and Family Law Act principles.
