Fire Protection Specialist

The Fire Protection Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of fire protection systems by conducting regular inspections, performing maintenance tasks, and implementing proactive measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions. The specialist must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and a detail-oriented approach to every task.
- Install, repair, and inspect smoke and fire suppression systems.
- Inspect, test, and repair fire alarm wiring, fire alarm panels, and peripheral equipment.
- Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Inspect, repair, or replace smoke/heat detectors and sprinkler heads.
- Repair and test wet/dry systems; test fire alarm system devices using appropriate diagnostic programs and test equipment.
- Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
- Read, interpret, and apply system design plans and building construction drawings and documents.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is required.
- A U.S. or Australian citizen with a minimum of five years of experience working with fire protection equipment and systems.
- Possess NICET II or NICET III certification.
- Maintain qualifications in accordance with U.S. DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) or Australian equivalent acceptable to the U.S. government.
