OverviewKBR, Inc. is hiring for a Fire Protection O&M Technician in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia.
This is a contingent position based upon contract award, located at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space.
The position is expected to be onsite 100%.
Why Join UsInnovative Projects: KBR's work spans engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT and cybersecurity solutions.Collaborative Environment: A dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation.Impactful Work: Contribute to designing and optimizing defense systems that support national security and space defense.What Youll DoInstall, repair, and inspect smoke and fire suppression systems.Inspect, test and repair fire alarm wiring, fire alarm panels and peripheral equipment.Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.Inspect, repair or replace smoke/heat detectors and sprinkler heads.Repair and test wet/dry systems; test fire alarm system devices using appropriate diagnostic programs and test equipment.Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.Read, interpret, and apply system design plans and building construction drawings and documents.Perform true test smoke detector sensitivity procedure.Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is required.Performs all other duties as assigned.RequirementsMust be a US or Australian citizenMinimum five years of experience working with fire protection equipment and systemsMust possess NICET II or NICET IIIMust possess and maintain qualifications in accordance with US DoD UFC, or Australian equivalent acceptable to the USGDesired QualificationsBA/BS from an accredited institutionAbility to obtain a TS/SCI w/Poly or Australian PV clearanceLocation and AvailabilityThis role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space.
This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
