A career-defining opportunity awaits you in our team of senior case managers. We're seeking an experienced professional to lead and support our claims assessment process, ensuring seamless service delivery to our customers.
In this pivotal role, you will own a portfolio of complex claims and serve as the team's go-to expert, sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues. Your exceptional leadership skills and expertise in retail life claims will be essential in driving quality standards and improving our processes.
About the Role- Lead and support case managers in assessing long-term, Death, and Terminal Illness claims.
- Owning a small portfolio of complex claims across Income Protection, Death, and Terminal Illness.
- Providing expert guidance and coaching to team members on best practice and Zurich's claims philosophy.
- Elevating quality standards by adhering to our claims processes and reporting any discrepancies or necessary remediation.
- Driving process improvements through procedure review, key projects, and smart efficiencies.
- End-to-end experience in retail life claims, with solid policy interpretation across different cover types.
- Strong understanding of LICOP (Life Insurance Code of Practice).
- Broad knowledge of medical, financial, legal, product, and regulatory aspects of life insurance.
- A clear grasp of the legal framework for insurance contracts and respect for confidentiality.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lift team capability.
- Customer focus: meet or exceed customer expectations directly and through the team.
- Excellent communication skills, adaptable for diverse audiences.
- Initiative and strong problem-solving skills.
- Certificate IV in Life Insurance (preferred).
- Hybrid working arrangement - 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home per week.
