We believe what you do matters. We don't just cover risks; we care about the people and communities we serve. As the Head of Claims Excellence, you'll play a critical role in shaping our claims strategy, collaborating with global colleagues, and driving business growth.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic planning and delivery, managing key partnerships and driving digital transformation
- Collaborate with global teams to enhance operational excellence across Enterprise Claims functions
- Oversee financial, operational, and customer performance, improving claims processes, cost efficiency, and workforce planning
- Support new growth opportunities and oversee significant operating model changes to adapt to changing business needs
- Focus on enhancing the end-to-end employee experience by improving talent acquisition, retention, capability development, and employee engagement
Key Requirements:
- Commercially astute with a strong understanding of the Australian Life, Retail, Group, and General Insurance industry
- Strong market presence and ability to develop and execute strategic plans
- Proven ability to grow a business and deliver change in a complex insurance environment
- Strong understanding of Claims operating processes, systems, and people
- Business and financial acumen, including knowledge of NPS drivers
- Leadership experience with skills in building high-performing and engaged teams
- Growth mindset, resilience, and commitment to learning and improvement
- Emotional intelligence and ability to foster a culture of trust, innovation, fairness, and openness
- Required: Program Management Professional certification or equivalent experience
- Preferred certifications: Certified Scrum Professional, Certified Scrum Coach, and Project Management Professional
