Senior Claims Consultant Role

This position offers a transformative career opportunity that combines claims management expertise with leadership and coaching responsibilities. As a Senior Claims Consultant, you will lead a portfolio of claims, provide technical support on claims strategies, conduct quality assurance reviews, coach and mentor junior consultants, and maintain key stakeholder relationships.

Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to develop team skills, drive continuous improvement, and uphold the organization's claim philosophy, ensuring excellence and efficiency in our claims processes.

  • Proven experience as a Senior Claims Consultant managing end-to-end retail claims, including Income Protection, TPD, and Trauma.
  • Expertise in managing multiple policies, resolving complaints, and reviewing disputed claims.
  • Strong understanding of LICOP and the Insurance Contracts Act.
  • Experience in coaching Claims Consultants.
  • Ability to drive process improvements.
  • DFP/ANZIIF qualifications preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Claims Management: Manage a portfolio of claims, providing technical support on claims strategies and conducting quality assurance reviews.
  • Leadership and Coaching: Coach and mentor junior consultants, promoting development and growth within the team.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain key stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, upholding the organization's claim philosophy and ensuring excellence in claims processes.
