As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in guiding individuals through significant career changes and navigating complex rehabilitation plans.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert assessments and counselling to support clients adapting to sudden changes in career goals and circumstances.
- Conduct thorough assessments to guide clients toward new career paths and develop graduated return-to-work plans in coordination with healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including health professionals, specialists, employers, insurers, and other relevant parties, to drive positive client outcomes.
- Identify barriers to return to work and design, implement, and monitor programs to assist injured employees in returning to the workforce.
- Engage in workplace visits to understand challenges faced by injured or ill workers and educate employers on the benefits of maintaining good work environments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology (5th year/Masters degree required), Rehabilitation Counselling, or Social Work.
- Registration with AHPRA, AASW, or ASORC.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Innovative mindset; willingness to contribute new ideas to the team.
