We are seeking a skilled Welding Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of welding work, adhering to relevant International or Australian standards, codes and client specifications.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large pumped hydro project that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage. As a Welding Inspector, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance for welding activities.
The role involves inspecting and assessing the quality and strength of welding work, verifying documentation, procedures and welder qualifications, and inspecting welding equipment used.
Required Skills and Qualifications- CWI (IWI-B) Certified International Welding Inspector Basic or CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
- AS1796 certificate 10 – Welding Supervisor
- White Card
Additionally, the successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of welding techniques and processes, ability to read and interpret drawings, and knowledge of health and safety practices.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, strong initiative and proactive nature, collaborative skills, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, well-developed time management skills, high attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) are also essential.
