Job Title: Welding Inspector

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Welding Inspector. As a key member of our quality control team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of welding work on our flagship project.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and assess the quality and strength of welding work, ensuring compliance with international and Australian standards, codes, and client specifications.
  • Verify documentation, procedures, and welder qualifications are in place and adhered to, as well as inspect welding equipment used.
  • Interpret welding symbols, drawings, specifications, and codes, communicating findings to direct supervisors and stakeholders.
  • Identify and report deviations or non-conformances to procedures, codes, or standards, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • CWI (IWI-B) Certified International Welding Inspector Basic or CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector qualification.
  • AS1796 certificate 10 – Welding Supervisor certification.
  • White Card (Construction Induction Training) certification.
  • 5 years of work experience as a welding inspector, with extensive knowledge of welding techniques and processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, with strong initiative and proactive nature.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail.
