Job Role

This is a pivotal position in the Snowy 2.0 project, responsible for inspecting and evaluating the quality and strength of welding work.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • To verify welding specifications and compliances with site requirements, FGJV, and subcontractors
  • To ensure welding procedures are followed correctly and that welders use suitable equipment and materials
  • To identify the qualifications of welders and the validity of their certificates
  • To verify that welding equipment is calibrated and in good condition

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • CWI (IWI-B) Certified International Welding Inspector Basic or CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
  • AS1796 certificate 10 – Welding Supervisor
  • White Card

Necessary Experience:

  • 5 years of experience as a welding inspector
  • Extensive knowledge of welding techniques and processes
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
