Job Description

The University of Southern Queensland is seeking a Health and Safety Partner to join the People Portfolio team. This pivotal role will influence and embed safety initiatives, promoting a culture of excellence while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, implement safety programs, and provide education.
  • Embed best practice safety principles within a complex workplace environment.
  • Provide front-line support and advice on WHS compliance obligations.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Safety or a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated commitment to stakeholder relationships and exceptional problem-solving ability.
  • Proven experience in health and safety management and an interest in proactive risk mitigation.
