About the Role

As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will be at the forefront of supporting individuals with disabilities and their families to access and navigate disability services. Your role will be to facilitate connections between community members and relevant resources.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Building relationships and partnerships with community groups, organizations, and peak bodies to enhance service delivery.
  • Assisting participants in developing personalized plans that cater to their needs and goals.
  • Providing information and support to those deemed ineligible for disability services, connecting them with natural supports and community resources.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
What We Are Looking For

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about empowering people with disabilities and has a deep understanding of diverse community needs. A relevant qualification in disability or community services is highly regarded. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for success in this role.

A person-centered approach, confidentiality, and professional integrity are paramount. Experience in planning and implementing community engagement events is desirable.
