About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Liaison to join our team at AECOM. Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Nurture Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business executives, department heads, and end-users. Work to understand their goals, challenges, and requirements, and effectively communicate these to our IT department.
  • Align IT Initiatives with Business Objectives: Ensure that our IT initiatives, projects, and services are closely aligned with the business's strategic objectives. Leverage your knowledge of our IT strategic roadmap to advise and collaborate with business leaders on opportunities where IT can drive innovation, improve efficiency, and provide competitive advantage.
  • Prioritize and Manage IT Demand: Help to prioritize and manage the demand for IT services and solutions within the organization. Work with business units to assess their technology needs, gather high-level requirements, and provide guidance on potential solutions.
  • Facilitate Decision-Making: Facilitate the decision-making process, evaluating the feasibility and business value of proposed IT projects. Engage in business analysis activities to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Collaborate with business leaders to ensure that our strategic initiatives deliver meaningful results and anticipate changes to keep us ahead of the curve.
Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in IT and business, with experience in roles such as IT project management, product owner, solution architect, business analyst, consulting, or similar positions. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous Experience in Business and Technology: A deep understanding of both business and technology is required for this role.
  • Relationship Building and Maintenance: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across different business lines and locations globally.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Negotiation: Experience in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and conflict resolution is beneficial.
  • Global Experience: Experience working and leading teams across multiple global locations.
  • IT and Business Change Management: 10+ years in IT with a knack for leading transformative projects, and 5+ years experience in business change management.
  • Strong Communication and Leadership Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills are essential for this role.
  • BRMP or CBRM Certification: BRMP or CBRM certification is highly desirable.
