**Job Opportunity: Intake and Assessment Professional**

We are a leading non-profit organisation, dedicated to providing support services for families, adults and young people who are experiencing homelessness, abuse and neglect.

We operate 9 crisis shelters and provide housing for over 150 people every night across the Central Coast.

The Role

This position involves managing intake, triage and assessment of referrals, providing short-term intervention and support.

You will prioritise referrals and work closely with senior management to ensure all clients receive efficient and timely access to clinical and support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings and assessments, provide crisis responses, service planning and targeted interventions.
  • Identify and assess risk and needs of referrals facing homelessness and family violence.
  • Collaborate with shelters to support integrated risk assessment and planning.
  • Determine client eligibility and refer potential clients to other services if required.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field or higher.
  • Experience working with trauma response care and assessment, particularly with young people and families with complex issues.
  • Ability to undertake assessments of individuals with mental health difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Administrative skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
