The Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Product Designer to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. As a Product Designer, you will play a critical role in the development of our Customer Engagement Platform, working closely with cross-functional teams to design and deliver user-centered solutions.



Your Responsibilities



  • User-Centered Design

    • Conduct research to understand user needs and behaviors, documenting findings and insights
    • Create rich personas to guide design and product discovery efforts

  • Design Thinking

    • Advocate for design thinking and user-centric approaches, incorporating them into the product development process
    • Apply design thinking principles to solve complex problems, taking a human-centered approach

  • Collaboration

    • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design decisions align with business goals and user needs
    • Participate in and lead cross-functional workshops and design sprints, incorporating feedback to enhance designs
    • Produce high-fidelity assets and collaborate with engineering teams to enable delivery

  • Prototyping and Testing

    • Create interactive prototypes to validate design concepts
    • Conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B experiments to inform design decisions
    • Iterate on designs based on data-driven insights

  • Design Systems

    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems, ensuring consistency across products and features

  • Continuous Learning

    • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
    • Participate in and contribute to portfolio- and company-level design communities


Requirements



  • Tertiary qualification in digital design, multimedia, or similar
  • Proven experience as a product designer, preferably in SaaS or digital products
  • Proficiency with design tools, such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD
  • Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design work
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams across different time zones
  • Familiarity with logistics technology platforms, warehouse management systems, or transportation management systems is desirable


Work Arrangements


This role offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement, with the opportunity to work from home and from our centrally located office in Melbourne's CBD. While there may be some in-person meetings and events, most work can be done remotely.
