As a Product Designer with a proven track record working with digital SaaS products, you will occupy a critical role in the product development lifecycle of the Descartes Customer Engagement Platform, an advanced automated notification and engagement platform that connects businesses with their customers to inform and empower them with information and features to make the 'last mile' of logistics a seamless success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and document user needs, behaviors, and pain points
  • Develop rich personas that guide design and product discovery efforts
  • Advocate for design thinking and user-centric approaches that are driven by real user research and insights, and incorporate them into the product development process
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design decisions align with business goals and user needs
  • Create interactive prototypes to validate design concepts and conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B experiments

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in digital design, multimedia or similar
  • Proven experience as a product designer, preferably in SaaS or digital products
  • Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD)
  • Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design work
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams across different time zones
