Product Development Chemist Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Product Development Chemist to join our research and development team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop formulations, create test samples, and scale up product candidates for production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop novel formulations and create test samples;
  • Scale up product candidates for large-scale production;
  • Produce accurate and high-quality written reports documenting research findings;
  • Conduct quality control testing of finished products, raw materials, in-process materials, and environmental samples;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create procedures for new product manufacturing;
  • Communicate project progress and any issues or risks to senior management;
  • Maintain laboratory facilities, equipment, and consumables to ensure optimal functionality.
About the Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant science discipline, such as chemistry or formulation science;
  • A minimum of 3-5 years relevant industry experience;
  • A positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow in your role;
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Well-developed planning and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail;
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team;
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the capacity to address challenges effectively;
  • Familiarity with agricultural or veterinary chemicals is highly desirable.
