About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Lead to join our team at Safety People. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring the well-being of our staff and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of safety advisors to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with staff to enhance their understanding of risks and reduce workplace injuries.
- Conduct regular site visits and participate in toolbox meetings to ensure safety protocols are being followed.
- Perform risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety observations to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure safety audits, inspections, and investigations meet high standards and are conducted in a timely manner.
- Provide work health and safety advice and interpret legislation for the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Formal qualifications in Work Health & Safety or a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Queensland's Work Health & Safety Legislation and Codes of Practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in a wide range of Microsoft programs.
- Queensland C Class Driver's Licence.
