In this role, you will champion community wellbeing by leading programs, events, and initiatives that support a healthy and inclusive Stonnington.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Ageing Well Action Plan to help older residents live healthier lives
  • Building networks with service providers, community groups, and agencies to advance equity, health, and inclusion
  • Conducting social research to influence Council's funding, strategy, and program direction
  • Servicing the Volunteer Program, Connect and Discover Network, and managing the Community Grants process
  • Representing Council in forums, working groups, and committees

This full-time, permanent position offers a salary range of $65,000 to $90,000, plus 9.5% super.

Located at the historic Malvern Town Hall, you will enjoy a vibrant setting surrounded by shops and green spaces.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in community programs with qualifications in social science, public policy, or a related field
  • A passion for equity and a commitment to fostering inclusive community environments
  • Strong research and data analysis skills, with the ability to deliver clear recommendations
  • Effective communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to engage stakeholders
  • A team-oriented approach, combining strategic insight with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Preparedness to meet compliance requirements, including a Working with Children Check, Police Check
  • A driver's licence is preferred
