We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our team as a Receptionist/Housekeeper at YHA Hobart.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys providing exceptional service and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting both the front desk and housekeeping teams, ensuring that guests receive excellent customer service and have a memorable stay with us.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Front Desk: Providing friendly and efficient service to property guests, answering their queries and providing helpful information and recommendations, checking in and out guests and resolving any concerns or disputes.
  • Housekeeping: Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of communal spaces, bathrooms, accommodation rooms, kitchens, and other areas, monitoring stock levels and replenishing them as needed.

  • A motivated and flexible individual with previous experience in customer-facing roles, particularly in hospitality or related industries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and guests from diverse backgrounds.
  • Able to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Australian working rights with no restrictions.
