Job Opportunity:

Disability Support Worker

As a Disability Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities, dementia, or mental health issues. This role requires a strong understanding of dementia care practices and strategies for supporting individuals with their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Follow individualized care plans based on client needs and goals.
  • Monitor client progress and communicate any changes or concerns to the care team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and incident reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, dementia or mental health issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Knowledge of dementia care practices and strategies for supporting individuals with their needs.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
  • NDIS workers screening check and orientation Module certificate.
