About the Role

We seek an experienced Support Specialist to provide high-quality care and support in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dementia care practices and strategies for supporting individuals with their needs.

Job Overview:

  • This is a casual role where you will be working directly with clients, providing personalized support and care tailored to their unique needs.
  • You will assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • The role requires following individualized care plans based on client needs and goals, monitoring client progress and communicating any changes or concerns to the care team.
  • Accurate documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and incident reports is also a key aspect of this role.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, dementia or mental health issues is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are critical.
  • You must have current First Aid/CPR certification and a valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation.
  • An NDIS workers screening check and orientation Module certificate are also required.
