About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superannuation Financial Advisor to join our team at Hostplus. As a key member of our superannuation advice team, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice to our members, helping them achieve their retirement goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Limited Scope Intra-Fund Advice: You will provide accurate and timely limited scope intra-fund personal advice to our members, in accordance with relevant AFSL policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support Employers and Members: You will participate in the provision of limited scope intra-fund advice at employers within our network, supporting our members in achieving their retirement goals.
  • Generate Referrals and Appointments: You will generate referrals and appointments for our scaled advisers and financial planners, ensuring our members receive the best possible advice.
  • Participate in Marketing and Strategic Activities: You will participate in marketing campaigns, promotions, and other strategic activities involving the financial planning department, helping to promote our services and attract new members.
About You
  • RG146 and FASEA Compliance: You must be RG146 compliant and have passed the FASEA exam, with a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning or equivalent qualifications.
  • Financial Planning Experience: You will have demonstrated experience in financial planning, paraplanning, or a similar client servicing position, with a sound working knowledge of superannuation, investment, and insurance products.
  • Technical Skills: You will have practical knowledge of financial planning software and CRM systems, with the ability to maintain detailed client and practitioner notes and records.
  • Legislative Knowledge: You will have a sound knowledge of relevant superannuation and taxation legislation, including SIS, SG, FOFA, and MySuper regulations.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: You will have well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people.
  • Self-Management and Adaptability: You will have a high level of self-management, with the ability to work autonomously and adapt to changing circumstances.
