You will play a critical role in supporting orthopaedic surgeons in the planning and execution of robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements using Stryker's Mako system.

About the Role

As a Robotic Orthopaedic Specialist, you will be the primary clinical expert for the Mako system, providing real-time support during procedures and working closely with surgical teams to optimise patient outcomes.

  • Serve as the in-theatre expert for Mako-assisted procedures, providing technical and clinical guidance to surgeons and theatre staff.

  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal use of the Mako robotic platform during joint replacement surgeries.

  • Conduct pre-operative CT-based planning and segmentation to assist in surgical case preparation.

  • Maintain a high level of knowledge in orthopaedic surgical techniques, anatomy, and robotic technology.

  • Provide ongoing training and clinical support to hospital staff and surgical teams.

  • Travel across Sydney and surrounding areas to support multiple hospital sites.

Key ResponsibilitiesCore Skills

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical knowledge, technical acumen, and excellent communication skills. Key qualifications include:

  • Orthopaedic clinical support or biomedical science/engineering background.

  • Medical device experience or operating theatre nursing/registered nursing experience.

  • Physiotherapy or allied health with surgical exposure.

  • Human movement or anatomy specialists with clinical experience.
