Job Title: Community Liaison Officer

The role of the Community Liaison Officer is a pivotal one within the Queensland Police Service, serving as the primary point of contact for members of the public seeking assistance. This permanent full-time position is located at Logan Central Police Station.

  • Establish rapport with the community and provide timely support in police stations.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, both during and outside normal business hours as required.
  • Identify and address client needs through effective communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution in accordance with relevant service policies and procedures.
  • Offer guidance to members of the public and provide information on Queensland Police Service initiatives and services.
  • Contribute to counter duties, including processing crime reports, managing offender bail, and contributing to the development of administrative systems and processes that enhance station operations.
  • Utilize police computer databases, communication equipment, and other tools as necessary.
  • Process and receipt property (seized, evidentiary, and found) which may include money, drugs, and weapons.
  • Manage financial transactions, including currency and electronic funds transfer at point of sale (EFTPOS).
Requirements:

The successful candidate will be required to participate in a two-shift, 7-day roster. Shift and weekend penalty requirements will apply.
