Job Overview

The Operations Supervisor role involves overseeing work site operations to ensure timely delivery of full service and subcontract civil construction projects. This position requires a proven track record in managing plant, labour and subcontractors for recycling pavement works.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the work site operation according to the construction program and budget requirements.
  • Provide operational support to field staff regarding plant issues including repairs and set up.
  • Weekly Reporting requirements include timesheets, machine hours, maintenance, site inductions etc.
  • Manage maintenance requirement in conjunction with SPA Workshop services.
  • Project preparation and planning are essential responsibilities.
  • Management of resources, including people and materials in consultation with Business Unit Manager.
  • Ensuring works are carried out efficiently meeting quality requirements.
  • Liaising with Clients is a key aspect of this role.
  • Assistance with quotation and tender activities is also required.
  • Willingness to travel and work away as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in supervising road pavement construction.
  • 5 Years experience within road/civil construction.
  • Knowledge of Pavement Machinery is necessary.
  • Strong communication skills; working independently and part of a team are required.
  • Experience building strong supplier relationships is beneficial.
  • Experience with computerised maintenance and stores systems is an advantage.
