Product Specialist

This is a hands-on technical role that requires expertise in the mining and explosives industry. As a Product Specialist, you will be responsible for leading projects to develop and implement best practices for bulk product performance.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the bulk product testing process, knowledge of the bulk product approval process, and proven technical experience in a customer-driven mining environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead projects to develop and implement best practices for bulk product performance.
  • Complete annual compliance testing to ensure TDS targets are met or exceeded.
  • Provide site-based support for MPU calibration, commissioning, and operations.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of QA/QC processes and internal/external reporting.
  • Deliver professional development training and workshops on bulk product awareness.
  • Offer technical support during incident investigations, audits, and system reviews.
  • Act as a key advisor to both senior and middle management on product performance, delivery, and safety.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in the mining industry.
  • Experience with explosives or within the explosives industry.
  • Solid understanding of the bulk product testing process.
  • Knowledge of the bulk product approval process, testing, and compliance.
  • Proven technical experience in a customer-driven mining environment.
  • Background in the delivery of multiple technical projects.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability in knowledge transfer and training.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Current driver's licence.

Desirable qualifications include trade qualifications, experience in Learning Management Systems (LMS), chemistry/laboratory qualification, background as a Mining Engineer, hands-on MPU operational experience, and shotfiring ticket or experience.
