Job Description

The Team Leader - Utility Support plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the day-to-day production needs of multiple work groups.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leads and supervises multiple production work teams ensuring seamless operations
  • Assists existing team leaders to ensure all work teams are adequately supported on the production floor
  • Provides specific assistance to food room and plastics production teams working on the production floor
  • Maintains a safe and healthy working environment by adhering to occupational health and safety protocols
  • Sends daily data into Daily Production Schedule for effective resource allocation

Delivering production goals at the required level of quality, set up and run production line according to established guidelines and instructions from the Production Coordinator, utilizing initiative and ingenuity to improve productivity and best practices, actively seek out and advise the Production Coordinator of any issues which may result in lost productivity.

2. Supervision of a work team

Provide team members with necessary supervision to enable them to achieve their production goals, assist team members to understand all steps prior to commencing a job, provide encouragement and guidance to work team, delivers on the job training and support to the work team, organizes and completes team member timesheets, provides individualized support to team members with higher support needs.

Contributing to Quality Processes

Work within established quality assurance system, contractual arrangements, and legal requirements, contribute to continuous improvement through completion of Continuous Improvement Reports, undertake training exercises with work groups to enhance employee knowledge and skills, contribute to work trail process.

Contributing to Occupational Health and Safety Processes

Be fully aware of and comply with current responsibilities and requirements of the OHS Act 2004, report all hazards, incidents, and injuries in accordance with legislation, ensure liaison with employee health and safety representatives and supervisors and staff in regard to OHS issues.
