Quality System Specialist

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality System Specialist to support our Quality Management System. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing effectiveness and efficiency of our quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure the Quality Management System remains effective and efficient.
  • Work with Part 145 Responsible Manager and Quality Manager to ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Perform delegated Part 145 Quality Manager duties as required.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess system compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop, implement and maintain quality directives, policies, plans, processes and work instructions.
  • Track, monitor, measure and report health and performance of local quality management system.
  • Lead investigations and root cause analysis activities to identify corrective and preventative actions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum technical qualification in Quality Management or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Qualification in Aviation Maintenance related discipline.
  • Completed ISO 9001 Lead Auditor training by a recognised organisation.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in similar quality role and/or within similar project environment.
  • Strong problem solving ability, self-motivation and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Australian Citizenship to meet Defence security requirements.

Desirable:

  • Holds or has held CASA or DASR Part 66 Licence or equivalent.
  • An understanding of the DASR Part 145 and Part 66 regulations.
  • Experience with Lean methodology.
