Compliance Expert Role

Join our team to take on the Senior Analyst, Line 1 Compliance position and contribute to strengthening our compliance capability within the first line of defence. This role is essential in promoting a proactive compliance culture, identifying and mitigating regulatory risks, and ensuring adherence to internal standards and external obligations.

About the Job:

  • This Senior Analyst will work closely with Business Unit teams in embedding effective compliance controls, translating regulatory requirements into practical solutions, and uplifting the control environment.
  • You will provide compliance advice, contribute to risk-in-change assessments, and help drive remediation and monitoring activities across divisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including Line 2, Internal Audit, and other teams to ensure compliance is owned and managed at the source.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen compliance capability within the first line of defence by developing and implementing effective compliance programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a proactive compliance culture and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop recommendations to mitigate potential risks and ensure adherence to internal and external standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong background in regulatory risk, ideally gained within financial services.
  • Experience designing and implementing compliance controls that are both effective and practical.
  • A bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field is essential.
  • Professional certifications such as AACI or ACI 10980NAT will be highly regarded.
