About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Kindergarten Inclusion Support team as a KIS Assistant. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Kindergarten's teaching staff to provide an inclusive and responsive environment for children with disabilities and additional needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and staff to ensure a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Kindergarten's teaching staff to implement individualized support plans and strategies.
  • Provide assistance with daily activities, such as mealtime, toileting, and outdoor play, to ensure the child's physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of programs and activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Communicate effectively with families and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting the child's needs.
Requirements
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Understanding of and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and privacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to relate to others with kindness, respect, and positivity.
  • Demonstrated experience working with preschool children and/or in a preschool setting.
