This role involves working closely with our Merchandise Planning team to optimize inventory levels and achieve sales, margin, and stockturn targets. As a key member of the Demand Planning team, you will be responsible for ensuring demand forecast integrity and accuracy is maintained.
You will work independently to review demand forecasts and provide exception-based feedback to merchandise, demand planners, and inventory managers to ensure forecast accuracy targets are met. Your goal will be to build strong relationships with stakeholders and drive enhancements in forecast accuracy through continuous improvement throughout the planning function.
Key Responsibilities- Optimize Inventory Levels: Collaborate with the Merchandise Planning team to optimize inventory levels, achieving financial KPIs such as sales, margin, and stockturn.
- Improve Forecasts and Reporting: Support the business by providing improved forecasts and accurate reporting. Present key insights to stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Own the Merchandise Relationship: Drive enhancements in forecast accuracy and own the merchandise relationship, ensuring continuous improvement throughout the planning function.
- Generate Action Plans and Mitigation Strategies: Utilize demand planning reports to generate clear action plans and mitigation strategies.
- Build Key Inputs and Strategies: Build key inputs and strategies for the Demand TIR (Total Inventory Review), supporting execution of the Merchandise Product Strategy.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Demonstrate skills in data analysis and reporting, with experience in Excel and Power BI.
- Effective Communication: Possess excellent communication skills and empathy in dealing with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Qualifications: Hold a qualification in Data Analysis, Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce, Inventory, Supply Chain, or Logistics, or have relevant experience.
