Procurement Planner Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Planner to manage material purchases using effective planning principles, ensuring product availability meets business requirements.

The successful candidate will review operational consumable cost improvement opportunities across manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate master data for MRP controllers responsible (safety stocks, lead times, lot sizes).
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to reduce supply disruptions, lead times and lot sizes.
  • Raise purchase orders/stock transfer orders based on SAP required dates, confirm POs based on supplier feedback and engage in problem-solving related to service levels for production planners and first-line managers.
  • Maintain correct delivery dates on all open orders.
  • Work closely with market teams to ensure agreed understanding of demand, including priorities, timelines and customer requirements.
  • Report on reasons for OTIF failures for purchased finished goods and provide input to S&OP meetings.
  • Conduct root cause analysis investigations into the causes of materials being late or excess inventory.
  • Maintain development plans.
  • Adhere to standard work daily, monthly and quarterly activities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience.
  • Previous experience preferred in SAP, ERP skills and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Other preferred qualifications: APICS certification.
