Director of Counselling Services Job Description

The Director of Counselling Services is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the provision of psychological services to students. This includes managing a team of psychologists, developing and implementing wellbeing policies and programs, and providing direct support to students.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of psychologists to provide high-quality psychological services to students.
  • Develop and implement wellbeing policies and procedures that promote student safety and wellbeing.
  • Design and deliver proactive mental health programs to enhance student resilience and connectedness.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to provide integrated support to students.
  • Attend meetings and provide reports to senior management on student wellbeing and psychological service usage.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Essential Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Psychology (accredited).
  • Full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
  • Desirable Skills:
  • Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
