Catering Attendants play a vital role in our operations, ensuring that our airline customers receive high-quality food and beverage items on time. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Packing and preparing food and beverage items according to customer specifications is a key responsibility of this role. This involves accurately counting, sorting, and packing items such as glassware, dishes, cutlery, napkins, and other sundry items.
  • The Catering Attendant will also be responsible for safely handling, cleaning, and storing these items. They must ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner and that quality control techniques are thoroughly understood and followed.
  • Additionally, this role requires strong analytical skills to identify opportunities for improving performance and productivity within the work area. The Catering Attendant must also raise any discrepancies in stock take if any items are missing.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills are essential for this position, as the Catering Attendant must balance multiple tasks and responsibilities while maintaining a high level of productivity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Availability for Afternoon shifts on a 7-day roster (5 on 2 off), full-time 38hr week is a must.
  • Experience of working in a food distribution or manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills are essential for this role.
  • Access to reliable or own mode of transport is necessary.
  • Strong numerical skills, including accuracy in counting, are vital.
  • Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety and Basic Hygiene rules is required.
  • HACCP experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy open plan kitchen, warehouse, and storage is necessary.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team is required.
