As a seasoned Culinary Professional, you will have the opportunity to lead our kitchen team and drive culinary excellence in our resort environment.

We are seeking an experienced Demi Chef to join our dynamic team, where you will be responsible for running the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and collaborating with our Head Chef to plan and design menus that meet our financial goals and appeal to all guests.

You will be responsible for preparing, producing, and presenting all foods in accordance with identified food hygiene and health & safety standards, commonly accepted in the catering industry.

  • Ensure that food safety and hygiene of food preparation are prioritized as outlined in the HACCP principles and local guidelines for catering establishments.
  • Display a strong commitment to increasing your knowledge and skills in food preparation.
  • Strive to minimize food wastage and provide exceptional guest experiences.
  • Audit kitchen stock & grocery lines daily and order stock as required.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations, coordinating tasks, managing time effectively, and maintaining a high standard of service throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the kitchen team to deliver culinary excellence.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and design menus.
  • Prepare, produce, and present all foods in accordance with identified food hygiene and health & safety standards.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Minimize food wastage and maximize efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Relevant trade qualifications.
  • Previous Food & Beverage experience in a hotel / resort environment.

  • The ability to work a flexible roster, inclusive of nights, weekends, and public holidays.
