Job Description

The Head of Production is a pivotal role within our organization, overseeing all productions across our studio. Key responsibilities include guiding strategic and day-to-day production, bidding on shows, and ensuring effective communication with the local production team.

Global Responsibilities
  • Participate in global company projects as a key stakeholder
  • Ensure timely updates to the local production team on company changes and procedures
  • Promote consensus among global stakeholders on high-impact production policy or procedural changes
Line Management Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations for local production team members, including Central Production Managers and Show Production Managers
  • Collaborate with Resource Management Team and CPM to ensure proper staffing for successful project deliveries
Finance
  • Contribute to site budgets with General Manager and Production Finance team
  • Work closely with Production Finance and Executive Producers to meet show KPIs
Best Practices
  • Evaluate and modify existing production processes for maximum efficiency
  • Partner with Regional Head of Production Processes to improve production tracking and reporting systems
Leadership
  • Anticipate and respond to change
  • Buid consensus around global values for running production
Talent Management/HR
  • Oversee consistent approaches to Talent Management across production
  • Ensure DNEG remains competitive in attracting top production talent

For this role, we seek an experienced VFX producer or EP with 5+ years of experience in managing large-scale internal teams in a multicultural environment. Ideal candidates will possess excellent presentation skills, be proficient in project management tools, and have a strong operational sense.
