About the Job Opportunity

This is a 4-year maximum term contract for leading a team of technical specialists responsible for testing and drafting planning scheme content. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of complex strategic planning projects, ensuring timely project completion and high-quality deliverables.

As a key member of the Strategic Planning Department, you will report to the Coordinator and provide regular updates on planning scheme content. You will also foster team engagement, support governance groups, and offer expert advice in strategic land use planning.

You will have overall responsibility for leading teams, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring that projects meet their objectives.

  • Lead a team of technical specialists to test and draft planning scheme content.
  • Provide regular updates and advice to the Coordinator on planning scheme content.
  • Foster team engagement, support governance groups, and offer expert advice in strategic land use planning.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Urban and Regional Planning or equivalent qualification.
  • Ample experience and knowledge in strategic land use planning and development assessment practices.
  • Ability to lead projects, oversee delivery, and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Substantial experience in project management and risk management practices.
  • High-level experience in drafting planning scheme content and communicating with stakeholders.
