Building Compliance Officer Role Summary

We seek an experienced Building Compliance Officer to join our Development Services team. As a key member, you will ensure compliance with State and Local Government interests, including the Moreton Bay Regional Council Planning Scheme.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to educate and inform our community about building and development compliance, providing technical advice and undertaking investigations into building and compliance matters.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice and support to building certifiers in undertaking low complexity building inspections and issuing final certifications.
  • Support building certifiers in issuing statutory approvals in accordance with legislative requirements.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues to ensure quality service and compliance outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of building and development compliance processes and procedures.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, correspondence and content for procedures.
