The role of a Workday HCM consultant involves bridging the gap between business and technical teams by solving complex intersystem problems. This includes guiding clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday HCM implementation.

  • Become an expert in Workday HCM and Learning products with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Recommend solutions based on client requirements, budget, and timeframe, while being flexible to adapt scope as additional needs are identified.
  • Guide clients through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and understanding of unique business requirements at all stages of the project.
  • Regularly engage and support clients through all phases of the project, ensuring smooth transfer from legacy systems to Workday HCM solution.
  • Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, keeping clients, project team, and Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project.
  • Work alongside integration teams to configure and test integrations between Workday solution and clients' selected payroll and benefits providers.
  • Take leadership position on projects or as Collaborative Product Partner Lead and/or DA Reviewer.
  • Display hands-on expertise of software, including loading customer data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security.
  • Convert and map data sources into data conversion templates via iLoads.
">">Required Skills & Qualifications:">
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, HRIS or related field required.
  • 2+ years of Workday HCM and Learning functional implementation experience highly desired.
  • 2-5 years Human Resources, Payroll, or Financial software experience required.
  • 2-5 years implementing functional solutions with ERP or SaaS software highly desired.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, designing and prototyping, testing and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrated functional experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or Financials Management.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, effectively managing customer expectations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint programs.
