Fire Safety Maintenance Role

We are seeking a skilled Asset Performance Officer to join our team at Chandler Macleod. As a Fire Safety Maintenance specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our properties and occupants.

Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough and detailed inspections of fire safety systems and equipment, adhering to established standards and regulations. You will assess fire detection, alarm systems, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, and other critical components to identify any deficiencies or areas requiring maintenance or repair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fire safety compliance inspections for Housing Portfolio's Fire Safety Maintenance program.
  • Perform thorough and detailed assessments of fire safety systems and equipment.
  • Identify and report any deficiencies or areas requiring maintenance or repair.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of the Australian Building Codes, Australian Standards, Government, or commercial probity and contracting standards.
  • Relevant qualification in Electrical, Plumbing, Construction or Fire Safety and/or sound construction building maintenance and/or building construction experience/exposure, together with field inspection experience and measurement of performance against standards.
  • Extensive experiences and knowledge of residential property maintenance and improvements.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Desirable - experience in compliance inspections of building essential services and scoping.
