Employment and Industrial Relations Expert

A unique opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Employment and Industrial Relations specialist to join our team.

We are seeking an experienced professional with extensive knowledge in contentious and non-contentious employment and industrial matters. Our workplace relations team is highly respected, and we have a strong track record of delivering excellent results for clients across various industries including retail, finance, healthcare, education, construction, engineering, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing clients with expert legal advice and guidance
  • Assisting in managing complex matters and ensuring timely delivery of services
  • Staying up-to-date with relevant case law and legislative changes
  • Conducting thorough research and analysis to produce accurate and commercially sound advice
  • Managing a high-volume workload, prioritizing tasks, and delivering results efficiently
  • Developing a deep understanding of client operations and strategy
  • Mentoring and developing junior staff members
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development and maintaining CLE requirements

The successful candidate will be part of a close-knit team and will need to be self-motivated, energetic, and adaptable in this fast-paced environment.

Ideal background and skills include:

  • Significant experience in industrial relations practice and management from a well-regarded employment and IR practice
  • A minimum of 4+ years' PQE with a background in employment law
  • Previous exposure to business development and a proven ability to build strong client relationships
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong focus on turnaround time and commercial acumen
  • Practical problem-solving skills and a client-focused approach
