Job Title: Community Health Services Trainer and Resource Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Community Health Services Trainer and Resource Developer to join our team. This is a key role that requires the ability to develop and lead students in learning activities, provide support and feedback, and assess student competency and performance.

The successful candidate will have experience in developing engaging and compliant learning and assessment resources for delivery and assessment. They will be responsible for delivering training packages such as Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Disability), Certificate IV in Ageing Support, and Administer and Monitor Medications.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, lead, mentor, and encourage students in classroom and clinical environments.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops and leads students in learning activities to meet course competency requirements.
  • Provides ongoing feedback and assesses student competency and performance according to course requirements.
  • Develops engaging, compliant learning and assessment resources for delivery and assessment.
Selection Criteria
  • Qualified in a relevant field at least to the level of the course being taught.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent.
  • Course resource and assessment development experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Aged Care or Disability Support Worker roles.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to engage, lead, mentor, and encourage students in classroom and clinical environments.
  • Ability to validate assessment items and judgments.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ability to manage student matters in academic and non-academic issues.
  • Experience working with student management systems.
  • Understanding of Smart and Skilled contract requirements.
  • Minimum 2 years current teaching or facilitation experience.
