Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team as a casual trainer at our Wollongong West campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering training to students enrolled in IT qualifications, using a mix of face-to-face and virtual classes during the day and virtual classes in the evening.

The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to engage students with varying levels of experience and education, using inclusive teaching strategies and effective time management to support student success.

As a qualified trainer you will thrive on sharing your knowledge and inspiring others, bringing real-world expertise into the classroom to help students succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training to students enrolled in IT qualifications
  • Use a mix of face-to-face and virtual classes during the day and virtual classes in the evening
  • Engage students with varying levels of experience and education, using inclusive teaching strategies and effective time management
  • Bring real-world expertise into the classroom to help students succeed

Requirements:

  • Hold appropriate subject knowledge, skills and hold a minimum Certificate IV in Information Technology or equivalent
  • Have a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously
  • Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training
  • Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence
