About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Workforce Policy and Governance Officer to join the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) Workforce Directorate. In this key role, you will develop and maintain an effective policy and governance framework that enhances human resource management practices, fosters a positive workplace culture, and promotes employee wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, analyse, and develop workforce policies to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Review HR systems for compliance and implement actions from audits and reviews.
  • Support the Executive Director of People & Culture and the Workforce Leadership Team by managing risk registers, providing governance support, and contributing to organisational performance through high-quality people management initiatives.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong skills and experience in human resources policy, governance, and operational processes. Your ability to handle complex, sensitive issues with attention to detail and confidentiality is essential.

  • Proven experience managing HR policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with executives and key stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of software for data analysis, word processing, and spreadsheets.
