Position Overview
The Operations Manager is a key member of the senior management team, directly reporting to the CEO. This role is crucial in steering the operational efficiency of LGM Industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operational functions of the organization to ensure alignment with corporate goals. Regularly monitor and report progress to the CEO.
  • Guide and support Project Coordinators and Supervisors in executing projects and managing fabrication processes.
  • Contribute to the formulation of annual budgets and assess operational performance against established budgets and KPIs.
  • Authorize project expenditures and claims.
  • Evaluate and track the effectiveness of operational functions, conducting compliance reviews and analyzing performance outcomes.
  • Initiate and implement enhancements within areas of responsibility.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities and advocate for company values while engaging in continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven ability to engage and manage personnel from diverse professional backgrounds.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry-specific safety management systems and their practical application.
  • Demonstrated experience as a project leader, fostering a culture of agility, achievement, and discipline within teams.
  • Capacity to make informed strategic business decisions aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Resource allocation skills based on operational requirements and company goals.
  • Support the development and implementation of the LGM Business Assurance System.
  • Commitment to the core values of appreciation, community, health & wellbeing, and performance.

Qualifications

  • Preferred background in trade or engineering.
  • At least five years of experience in the industrial and/or resource sectors.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel and MS Project.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism.
  • Solid understanding of contracts and commercial principles.
  • High technical proficiency with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Project Management methodologies.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
