We are seeking an experienced Fleet Operations Director to oversee our workshop, building maintenance, support staff, and management systems.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving business growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement company procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Liaise with government agencies to resolve fleet, ticketing, and contractual issues;
  • Optimize fleet reliability and performance through continuous monitoring and improvement;
  • Evaluate new cost-saving technologies and make recommendations for implementation;
  • Plan, document, and implement company policies and procedures;
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to develop a comprehensive fleet plan that aligns with business objectives and operating cost goals;
  • Prepare short- and long-term plans for fleet management;
  • Budget and manage vehicle specifications for new and replacement vehicles;
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide training as needed;
  • Budget and manage company finances, cash flows, and capital expenditures to maximize profitability;
  • Assist in preparing tenders and quotations as required.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Possess a tertiary qualification in marketing, business, or a technical discipline (desired but not mandatory);
  • Have experience in workshop or facility management, with a strong knowledge of heavy vehicle products and parts;
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences;
  • Maintain an unwavering commitment to workplace safety;
  • Exhibit strong negotiation and planning/organizational skills.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
