We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team and drive the transformation of Western Australia's energy infrastructure. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape the future of clean energy in WA.

Job Description

The Clean Energy Link program is a multibillion-dollar endeavour designed to expand the transmission network, connect new renewable generation, storage facilities, and large-scale customers to the Southwest Interconnected System. This multi-year program is critical to WA's decarbonisation targets and will enable cleaner, more reliable energy for communities across the state.

This leadership role offers the chance to work with industry experts, government leaders, and a dedicated team to deliver projects that directly shape WA's clean energy future. As the Head of Clean Energy Portfolio Development, you will be responsible for setting the vision for transmission expansion and ensuring alignment with State and Federal energy and emissions goals.

  • Set the strategic direction for transmission expansion and ensure alignment with energy and emissions goals.
  • Lead the orchestration of complex, large-scale transmission projects that will power WA for decades.
  • Secure funding and influence policy, engaging with government, regulators, and industry to drive outcomes.
  • Oversee portfolio optimisation and assurance, ensuring programs are on time, on budget, and compliant.
  • Build and inspire high-performing teams, driving a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven leadership experience in delivering large-scale transmission or generation infrastructure projects.
  • Strategic capability to navigate complexity, shape policy, and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of decarbonisation drivers, electricity markets, and infrastructure delivery.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills – from boardrooms to project teams.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related fields (postgraduate highly regarded).
