Director of Renewable Energy Development

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Developer to lead the development of utility-scale renewable projects from inception to commercial operation. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex projects and will be responsible for ensuring timely completion within budget.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify potential greenfield sites for renewable project development, conduct feasibility studies, and assess site suitability based on technical, environmental, and regulatory considerations.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling, to guide the successful execution of each development phase.
- Navigate the permitting process, ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and secure necessary approvals for project development.
- Evaluate the economic viability of greenfield projects and support decision-making through financial modelling, including project valuation, cost analysis, and revenue projections.
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental sciences, or a related field.
- Proven track record of delivering utility-scale renewable projects, preferably in the Australian market.
- Strong knowledge of the renewable energy industry, including solar, wind, and energy storage technologies, as well as relevant policies and regulations.
- Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Sound financial acumen and experience in financial modelling and project valuation.
