Medical Workforce Coordinator

The Medical Workforce Support Unit plays a pivotal role in advising and assisting the Executive Director of Medical Services and Directors of Medical Services regarding medical officer employment for Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. The team has operational responsibility for medical workforce recruitment and onboarding across the region, with a focus on designing, delivering, and supporting a sustainable medical workforce model.

  • Recruitment and engagement of locum medical officers to support medical services in Central Queensland.
  • Coordinating the recruitment, engagement, and retention of doctors in training across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.
  • Contributing to a collaborative team environment to deliver high-quality medical workforce support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and engaging medical professionals across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.
  • Supporting the recruitment, engagement, and retention of medical staff in training.
  • Collaborating within the team to provide exceptional medical workforce support services.

We are seeking an experienced administrative professional to join our team as a Medical Workforce Coordinator. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support and coordination to the Medical Workforce Support Unit.

  • High level of proficiency in reception and administrative skills, keyboard and Microsoft Office skills appropriate to the position.
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to perform duties on a day-to-day basis in the absence of decision makers.
  • High level interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with officers at all levels within a large organisation, the general public and external agencies with tact, diplomacy and discretion.
  • Ability to work autonomously, establish work priorities and meet deadlines and be an effective team member to provide a strong customer focused service.
